- Wingspans is an interactive career exploration tool where students can explore real-world career stories, take a career assessment, connect to Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ programs, and build skills through 39 work-readiness trainings. Access Wingspans through the Shasta Portal or the .
- : Students can take a career assessment, discover majors and in-demand careers as well as gather information on their education degrees/College offerings based on their interests! Create an account and save your information.
- : Learn about yourself, the employment options available to you and the training that will prepare you for them.
- : Assessments are tools to help you explore your skills, interests, values, or other traits. These traits are then matched to a broad list of careers.
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI): The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a widely used tool in career development that helps individuals better understand their personality preferences and make informed career decisions. This is not a test with right or wrong answers, but an engaging assessment designed to highlight your natural strengths and interests.
How to Get Started
Step 1: Schedule an appointment with a Career Counselor to receive your assessment access. Note: The MBTI is available to currently enrolled students.
Step 2: Complete the online assessment.
Step 3: Schedule a follow-up appointment to receive your personalized report, interpret your results, and plan your next steps.

- Strong Interest Inventory (SII): The Strong Interest Inventory is an assessment that explores your interests in occupations, activities, academic subjects, and work environments. Your responses are compared to patterns of people who are satisfied and successful in their careers, helping identify options that may be a good fit for you.

- Workshops: Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ offers a number of free workshops to assist you with your success. There are workshops related to career exploration, note-taking, test taking, time management and more. You can choose to attend a workshop in person or online or a combination of both, as your interest and schedule permits.
- : A course designed for students who are undecided about their educational and/or career goals. Through a series of group exercises, and career development testing, students learn to identify personal values, interests, skills, aversions, and personality patterns and understand how they relate to choices in the world of work. Students learn to access occupational information, develop decision-making skills and set career goals.

Prepare for careers and the workforce​
- : A course is designed for students who have identified their academic interest. The course places emphasis on focused exploration into career opportunities for the student's specific major. Students will access career information through various methods, use self-assessment tools to evaluate appropriateness of chosen career, develop strategies for deepening exposure to and experience with career pathway, and develop a career plan.
