Ï㽶ÊÓƵ will evaluate your Joint Services Transcript and/or your Community College of the Air Force for the opportunity to receive equivalent course credit. Two processes are provided based on the training you received while serving, which is dependent on the service branch that provided the training. You may need to complete both processes if you received training in the Air Force or Space Force, and received training from either Army, Marines, Navy, or Coast Guard.

Army, Marines, Navy, and/or Coast Guard Training Evaluation:

  1. You must be a current Ï㽶ÊÓƵ student.  If you have not yet applied, please follow the steps to apply to the college. If you are already a current Ï㽶ÊÓƵ student, proceed to step 2.
  2. Make an appointment with the Veterans Counselor

Air Force and/or Space Force Training Evaluation:

Important Note: In addition to this process, please complete the above process if you have training from the Service branches shown above, in addition to this process.

  1. You must be a current Ï㽶ÊÓƵ student.  If you have not yet applied, please follow the steps to apply to the college. If you are already a current Ï㽶ÊÓƵ student, proceed to step 2.
  2. Request your Community College of the Air Force transcripts. You can order an official transcript through the or the .
    1. An official copy should be mailed to Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Admissions/Records, PO Box 496006, Redding, CA 96049-6006, or emailed to admissions@shastacollege.edu
    2. You should also obtain an unofficial copy for your own records and for completing the form in step 5

  5. Complete a Credit for Prior Learning Petition: Transcript Evaluation

Please Note: If Ï㽶ÊÓƵ awards Credit for Prior Learning coursework and units, they will be used to fulfill your Ï㽶ÊÓƵ graduation requirements. This coursework and associated units will be added to your Ï㽶ÊÓƵ transcript. Financial Aid cannot be used to pay for units earned through CPL.

If you plan to transfer to another institution, please be aware that every college/university has their own policies about Credit for Prior Learning. What was accepted at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ may not be accepted at another institution.
